High School Coaches ***CONCERN***

Everyone,
One of our local high schools needs your help as soon as possible.  AN Myer Secondary School is in need of an outstanding volunteer to take over the operations of the rowing program.  The school has an excellent staff advisor, someone that is very helpful and eager to contribute to the team by taking care of the in school administration but there is a need to fill the role of the person that takes care of the athletes and the on water needs.  We are looking for this Head Coach, or team leader, or sport organizer with some level of desperation as I feel that the team may fold if we do not find one.
I have emailed all of you as either potential candidates or as people that might know of someone that could fill the role.  I realize that the time committment is demanding but there is great history of rowers coming from the school, and a great amount of possibilities.

2009/2010 Erg monitoring progam

Dear Athletes,

Below are the erg submission dates and distances for the 2009/2010 season. This is an advance notice so athletes can get the dates into their calendars. The official notice will be published early October including the submission procedure.

 

October, 19                        6km Ergometer Submission                                        

 

December 7, 2009            6km Ergometer Submission                                        

 

February 8, 2010               6km Ergometer Submission        

Or 2km from Regional Ergometer Regattas                                          

                                                 

March 22, 2010                  6km Ergometer Submission

                               

May 10, 2010                      2km or 6km Ergometer Submission                                      

 

 

The adaptive athletes testing will be on the same schedule but the distances are to be determined. Distances will be finalized for the official notice next week.

2009-10 Quest For Gold OAAP Carding

The Athlete Selection Criteria for the Quest for Gold – Ontario Athlete Assistance Program 2009-2010 has now been posted. Please visit www.rowontario.ca.

 

The application deadline for eligible athletes is 5pm Eastern Time, Friday November 20, 2009.
